In Zurgena we have 4 bars, 2 banks, 2 supermarkets and a bakers. There are also 2 churches and a village clock tower with magnificent panoramic views. We also have a pharmacy, a school and a doctors.
The weekly street market is held on a Friday morning.
The village is surrounded by some beautiful countryside including many citrus groves. You will also see acres of almonds and olives growing. This makes it an ideal location for walkers and cyclists as well as bird-watchers.
The costal resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha are approximately 25 minutes drive away. You can watch the fishermen of Garrucha land their catches and then sell them at the quayside market. The beaches at Mojacar go on for miles and the old town is always worth a visit. At nearby Vera there is a waterpark.
There are several golf courses within easy reach of us and also several horse riding stables in the vicinity.
